Christa B. Williams, LCPC, NCC

All of us, from time to time, forget that we have the power to turn on the light and need someone to help us see the choices before us.  I truly enjoy working together with people to discover their strengths and create the positive changes they seek.  I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey, get to know you as a person, and provide a safe space for you to explore, learn, and heal.

I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Acceptance and Commitment Therapies and hold a certification in Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy  to help individuals gain insight and promote self-growth.  In my 20 years of experience, I have gained valuable skills using evidence-based practices, creative approaches, and therapeutic play which have provided me with the tools to work with a wide variety of issues.  I have a special interest in working with children and adults who are experiencing chronic illness, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and those who identify as LGBTQIA+.

My educational background includes a Master’s in Counselor Education from McDaniel College, a Master’s of Public Health from the University of South Florida, and a Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Services Education from Penn State University (Go Lions!)

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland #LC7870, a Licensed Professional Counselor in West Virginia #2849,

a National Certified Counselor (NCC) #808986, and a Maryland Board Certified Supervisor for LGPCs.
