Mackenzie Burkett, LCPC, NCC

My goals for clients are to provide a safe space to feel accepted, be understood, and be heard without judgment. I believe the client is the expert on what they want and need in their life. With the right tools and support, anyone can change and live the life they deserve. I want clients to know they are not alone in the healing process.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults using a variety of treatment approaches, including dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I also have experience in treating individuals with anxiety, depression, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).  I’ve worked with folks who have difficulty managing their anger, navigating familial relationships, and adjusting to a new phase of life.

I  hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Shepherd University.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, (LCPC) #LC1105, and a National Certified Counselor, (NCC) #1100826.
