Counseling (sometimes called psychotherapy or talk therapy) allows individuals to explore their personal feelings, beliefs, and behaviors to work through challenges, better understand their self and their relationships, set personal goals, and create changes to improve their emotional and psychological well-being.

We collaborate with you to develop measurable treatment plans for your personal growth and provide evidence-based counseling services that are compassionate and goal-oriented.

Fees and Insurance

We currently participate with the following commercial insurance plans.

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • CareFirst
  • Cigna/Evernorth
  • United Healthcare

We are not in network with Medicaid or Medicare and are not able to bill a secondary insurance if Medicare is your primary insurance.

Card On File

We request that all clients have a Key Elements Patient Portal account for the onboarding process.  Through the portal, you may receive billing statements and pay balances online.  If the client is a minor, the parent or guardian responsible for payment will have ownership of the portal account.

When setting up your account, we ask that you enter the credit card of your choice, including your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) card to keep on file.  Copays may be made by you at the time of the session, and after the insurance has paid their portion for services, we will:

  • notify you by sending a statement to the portal of any balance owed
  • charge the balance owed to your card on file
  • email a receipt for the charge

Your credit card information will always be fully protected by our off-site, card-processing partner Elavon as required by industry standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard – PCI-DSS).

Fees

You are responsible for coming to your session at the scheduled time. If you miss a session without canceling (no show), your card on file will be charged a $50.00 fee for that session.  There is a $50.00 fee for canceling with less than 24 hours’ notice, however, we understand that from time to time there are circumstances such as illness and emergencies that will require rescheduling or canceling appointments.  Please contact the therapist as soon as possible, and we will do our best to reschedule your appointment if the therapist has time available.

**Please note that insurance does not cover charges for missed appointments.
